Wagasa – Japanese Style Paper Umbrella Restoration

Precious Pieces restored Wagasa – Japanese style paper umbrella. Our craftsman started the process by removing old torn paper and cleaned up thoroughly every single bone of the umbrella. Then, it needed to match colorof the paper before it has been faded through decades.

After careful crafting all parts with Washi including flexible joint parts, the umbrella was finished with Japanese traditional durable waterproof clear coat. Now, the old Wagasa looks brand new and works perfect as well.
